SEMI PRO

Today I went to see the movie SEMI PRO staring Will Farrell at the local cinemas. The preview for it was so funny and the ads before were hilarious (note to self:watch superhero movie).

The movie brilliant, it was about a guy that sucks at Basketball that trys to get to the national basketball competition in America!

As soon as we left the cinema my brother and sister kept saying how boring it was and how it was nothing like the ad but I disagree, I believe that it was exactly like the ad but with an hour and a half of boring bits added in the middle.

Skilled Park

Last night one of dads friends called and said that they had 6 spare tickets to the Titans match at the new Skilled stadium.

So with an unusual preparation time we left for Firth park. From there we parked the car and caught the bus to the stadium. From outside the stadium there were people everywhere.

The stadium was so simple compared to Suncorp all it was was a bunch of shops underneath the stands that was covered in a giant bubble. The seats we had were perfect they were behind the goals at the north stand so we could see all the trys up our end easily.

After only 2 minutes of play the Titans had scored a try but it was disallowed because it was off side. The titans ended up winning 24-4 In a brilliant second half.

The trip home only took about half an hour and we expected up to 2 hours.

Brisbane Lions

As I might have mentioned my favorite AFL team is the Brisbane Lions. 6 years ago they won the grand final and then from then on they won every game until 2 years ago 6 off their best players retired and now we lose every game.

Last night I was watching and they were actually winning. They ended up losing 92:76, quite disappointing but I've gotten used to it.

Half Kokoda

In July this year I will be competing in the half marathon at the Gold Coast Airport Marathon. This is a 21 kilometer run (thats why they call it a HALF Marathon) that I aim to do in less than 2 and a half hours.

5 days later I'll be competing in the Gold Coasts version of the Kokoda trail which is a 96km walk in under 39 hours. This event is in a group of 4 which is me and three of my friends.

Mt Warning

Today I climbed this:

Anyway, I woke up at 5:30 this morning and drove to Mt Warning with The Dunnies, Ferriers and the Sinclairs (their the good looking people in the group) and we climbed for 1 hours before we reached this:

Ok, it wasn't that steep but it was a rock path, track, thing that was so step that it needed a chain to be able to pull yourself up. So it was really step and I did it.

Arrested Development

I have only got 7 more episodes left to watch of arrested development, which is a hilarious American tv show. It is a completely ridiculous show but at the same time it's brilliant. The first episode I watch I thought it was rubbish but then the story got better and better and now I can't wait to see the last episode.

Highlights of my Life!

I've had a very exciting life so heres a list of my top 10!

1. Being born - That was pretty cool and I can still remember it like it was yesterday.

2. Going to Sydney - That was so exciting, I can still remember seeing the Sydney Harbour bridge for the first time and the Zoo was amazing.

3.Going back to Hobart - That was amazing seeing all these places I had heard stories about all my life and seeing people that it seemed like I new so well yet I'd never met any of them before.

4. First time I swam a lap of the pool - I remember thinking the whole time " Please don't Die, Please don't Die". As you've probably realized, I didn't!

5. Moving Houses - At the start of year 2 I moved houses, when I look back I realize that it must have been really boring but at the time I loved it.

6. Scoring goal in soccer Grand Final - In under 12 my soccer team (through alot of luck) made it to the Grand Final. 10 minutes into the game I scored a goal from near half way. We ended up winning in penalty shot-outs.

7. Scoring a fifty - In the first game of cricket this year I scored 54 before being caught on the boundary.

8. First time I rode a bike - I can't actually remember it but I'm sure it was fun.

9.First time I tied my own shoelaces - In year 1 the only real reason you have a teacher is to babysit you, but my my teacher actually taught me something useful.

10. First day off school - In 1999 I began year 1, I was so nervous, I have no idea why but I was.

And they are the highlights of my life!!!!
